Fixtures

Barnes has the resources to design and manufacture a variety of fixtures to satisfy the most prudent or demanding of applications. Simple arrangements to contain a single component with manual clamping and load/unload provisions can be offered on both vertical and horizontal stroke and single pass honing machines. Sophisticated fixtures are also available to operate in unison with automatic load/unload devices and locate and clamp components without operator assistance. These fixtures can also be used on single and multiple spindle vertical and horizontal stroke and single pass honing machines.

 

Barnes’ fixtures are designed to minimize set-up and operator involvement.  Significant measures are taken to simplify initial alignment to the machine spindle and maintain alignment regardless of the severity of the honing operation. Each and every fixture is designed to be economical but reliable and durable.
