Bore-Finishing/Single Pass Honing

Barnes International now offers our new multi-spindle single-pass bore-finishing system, Model #MSSP-1000-L6. This unit was designed to handle and process very heavy and physically large parts, which also require a longer 36” stroke, such as MCV type Cast Iron Hydraulic Valve Blocks. The machine features programmable part processing, including parts loading and unloading. This system, as designed for processing Hydraulic Valve Blocks, features a robust machine and parts handling design to accommodate the 150 pound parts. The six (6) lateral parts processing stations include cavity qualification/sizing, roughing, de-burring, intermediate finishing and a final super-finishing spindle. Each 5 H.P. motorized spindle is individually programmed for optimum control, productivity and accuracy. Sintered diamond sleeves are utilized to generate a final dimension to within 1 micron, in a production environment.

HV-5000

The model HV-5000 vertical stroke honing machine is designed for both general purpose and specialized applications.  The modular design provides an economical solution for satisfying most honing applications and a platform for advanced feature enhancements to meet the most demanding of honing requirements. The HV-5000 is ideally suited to handle bore diameter capacities up to 7" and lengths to 64". MSSP 1000

The new multiple spindle single pass “MSSP” 1000 model is the latest Barnes honing machine innovation.  The MSSP 1000 is designed for single pass honing of all types of small bore parts requiring accurate diameter size control, smooth surface finish and exact bore geometry.
